Local land owners and farmers have spent many years learning what can grown in the variable climate of Tehachapi. In recent years, a number of small wineries have sprouted and this would not be possible without the water they depend on. Wine is just one of many crops that enhance Tehachapi by bringing in jobs and tourism that benefits the local community.
